Boston Commercial Window Tinting Installation Process

At Boston Commercial Window Tinting, we take pride in our work, which includes our methods and procedures for installing window film. Our proprietary installation process allows us to produce high quality results that last for an extended period of time.

Step One: Onsite consultation
We begin each installation with an onsite consultation. One of our staff members will visit you onsite to discuss your goals for your project and go over different possibilities for the installation. Not only does this help us get to know you better, but it also allows us to inspect your building and take site measurements. During this time, we will also schedule a date and time for the official install. We are happy to offer off hours appointments if necessary.

Step Two: Preparation
Once you give us the go ahead, we begin the necessary preparations for the install at our office. We pre-cut all of the film with a plotter to shorten the installation time. This also helps minimize product waste and keeps our services more environmentally friendly.

Step Three: Installation
We arrive onsite to install the film. First, we clean all of the glass and prepare it for the application of the film using C-Bond as a primer.* The film is applied to the primed glass and the excess primer is removed using a squeegee. The glass and area around the windows are cleaned and inspected for any flaws or defects. The window film and primer are then allowed to dry and set.

*Window film that is not primed using C-Bond may take a longer time to set and achieve full clarity.

Why We Use C-Bond
C-Bond I is the primer that we use for almost all window film installs. We use C-Bond because it not only expedites the installation process, but it also provides protection for the film and the glass. C-Bond primer enhances glass at the molecular level to make it stronger and more resistant to shattering. With C-Bond, you can achieve peace of mind knowing that your building is protected from:

  • Flying rocks & debris
  • Sports equipment & golfballs
  • High speed winds
  • Break-ins & intruders
